I’m Rory Oliver-Hall, the founder of the Vintage Wireman.
Throughout my childhood, I had a passion for tinkering with engines and playing with electronics. This lead to my first full-time job working in Atomic Energy as an electrical and electronic support Technician.
After attending University, I combined my love for cars and engines with my interest in electronics, joining the graduate training scheme with Rover Group. Working on a range of powertrain control applications much of this work involved designing harness systems and producing prototype control software.
I joined the Stewart Grand Prix F1 team working in electronics and control systems. Working in a variety of roles I had exposure to the methods used for wiring in the extremes of Formula 1 racing.
Since 2012 I’ve worked in several consultancy roles in Project Management, Business Development, Sales and Engineering development, through a number of different Industry sectors including automotive, aerospace, rail and power.
However, my passion for vintage cars, wealth of knowledge of wiring and electrical systems and my engineering design experience has led me to the Vintage Wireman.
My workshop is based in the Cotswolds, close to the M40, with easy access to the south, the Midland and Wales, so I am perfectly located to visit you to discuss your project.
I pride myself on providing an excellent service, and whether it’s a vintage Bentley or a classic Ford I aim to offer a service which compliments the owner’s involvement with their beloved car.
